Meets: 2nd Wednesday at 7 pm


This council sub committee is responsible for:

  • Any issue which affects public safety.
  • Any issue related to parking management.
  • Any issue related to traffic management.
  • Any public safety concerns of the Borough or any concerns which the police, fire department, ambulance or emergency management agencies feel affect protection or safety of the citizens of the Borough.
  • Interviewing candidates for full and part-time police officers and making recommendations to Borough Council.

The subcommittee acts as a liaison:

  • Between Borough Council and the Mayor concerning police department issues.
  • Between Borough Council and the Civil Service Commission.
