In March of 2025, after three years of workshops and public meetings, Doylestown Borough adopted an updated Comprehensive Plan, DB2035 ADOPTED PLAN. During that same timeframe, the Environmental Advisory Council partnered with the PA Department of Environmental Protection and Penn State University to develop the Doylestown Borough Climate Action Plan - DCAP. The plan includes a "baseline" greenhouse gas emission quantity for the Borough, reduction goals, and action recommendations. Adoption of the plan as an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan requires a minimum 45-day public comment period and a public meeting.

The comment period is currently open and will remain so until January 30, 2026. There will be a public meeting hosted jointly by the Environmental Advisory Council and Planning Commission on January 20, 2026 at 6:30 PM related to this plan.
