DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH RESIDENTS

Doylestown Borough Council is accepting Borough residents’ applications to fill vacancies on the following volunteer boards:

  1. Environmental Advisory Council - matters dealing with protection, conservation, management, promotion and use of natural resources, including air, land and water resources. Meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.;
  2. Board of Managers of the Fanny Chapman Swimming Pool - oversees the management and operation of the Fanny Chapman Swimming Pool (shall be a resident of the Borough of Doylestown or of a municipality within the Central Bucks School District). Meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.;
  3. Historical and Architectural Review Board: knowledge of and interest in the preservation of the historic buildings and district is essential. Meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.; and,
  4. Planning Commission: community growth and development matters. Meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

In addition, Borough Council is also seeking students who are residents of the Borough, 15-18 years of age, who will be High School Sophomores or Juniors in May 2026, and are interested in serving as Junior Councilperson for the term September 2026-May 2027, or as a student member of the Fanny Chapman Pool Board, Park and Recreation Board, and the Shade Tree Commission for the term May 2026-April 2027. Student members will be able to gain familiarity with local government operations while providing input on matters before the Borough.
