Purpose:

The Environmental Advisory Council has the following duties:

  • Identify environmental issues that affect Doylestown Borough;
  • Advise Borough Council and its committees, along with other agencies, boards, and commissions, on matters dealing with protection, conservation, management, promotion, and use of natural resources;
  • Recommend plans and programs for the prevention and resolution of environmental issues to Borough government;
  • Execute programs and initiatives for the resolution of environmental issues;
  • Create and deliver educational programs, activities (i.e., for Earth Day), and presentations to enhance community and business awareness of environmental issues and Borough programs to resolve them; and
  • Participate in cooperative activities with other area EACs, including the EAC Summit.
