The 2018 Doylestown Borough Final Budget increases funding to Doylestown Fire Company #1 for the first time since 2003, supporting their continuing efforts to provide a high quality, low cost, volunteer service to Borough residents. This additional funding will support programs that provide reduced response times, larger crews, and more tools for the recruitment and retention of volunteers.

At the same time, the Budget holds the line on General, Road, Ambulance, and Debt Service taxes while preserving all services.

The average homeowner will pay $376.81 in total Borough Real Estate taxes in 2018, and increase of $12.87 from 2017.

The Doylestown Borough Real Estate Tax continues to be the smallest portion of a Borough homeowner's Real Estate Tax bill, accounting for only 8.2% of the total taxes paid.

Although they will increase modestly in 2018 in order to address an operating budget deficit, Borough water rates will remain the lowest in the region. The average residential water customer's quarterly bill will increase by $2.65 to $46.01.
