What is the Youth Leadership Recognition Program?
Doylestown Borough Council’s Youth Leadership Recognition is an annual honor bestowed on one or more individuals who have made a positive impact through community service and/or extracurricular activity.
Who is eligible to be nominated?
You must be 18 years of age or younger as of May 1 and residing in the Borough to be selected.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.
Can I nominate someone else?
Yes, as long as the candidate you nominate meets the eligibility criteria. There are no eligibility requirements for the person submitting a nomination.
What is the deadline for submission of nominations?
Nominations are due no later than March 1, 2023.
How does it work?
To submit a nomination, complete this ONLINE FORM.
You may also submit letters of support to accompany a nomination via email to John Davis, Borough Manager, [email protected]. Letters must be submitted by the deadline set forth above.
What happens once I submit a nomination?
The Community and Governmental Affairs Committee will review applications and interview finalists in March and April. The Committee will forward its recommendations to Borough Council for final selection in April. Awardees will be notified of their selection and invited to appear at the May Borough Council meeting to receive their recognition.
