Doylestown Borough Public Works Department Street Light Repair Information

The Doylestown Borough Public Works Department, like most municipaldepartments, lacks the specialized equipment necessary to repair street lights. Instead, the Borough "contracts out" for this service.

To report a street light that is out or malfunctioning call 215-345-4140. You should be prepared to give the exact location of the light (i.e.; street address and/or prominent landmark) and the pole number. The pole number is affixed to a small metal plate andis present on most street light poles. Providing this number will insure that the street light is properly located and repaired. If the street light in question is an Historic, Victorian Style Light that should be specified as well (these will not have pole numbers).

It takes approximately thirty (30) days from the date a street light is reported inoperative to the time of repair.
