Det Ansinn, Council President
Det Ansinn is a graduate of Central Bucks West and Drexel University. Mr. Ansinn and his wife Bridget both grew up here and now are raising their three children in the borough. Choosing to stay close to home, he founded several successful technology companies that have created well-paying local jobs. Mr. Ansinn was elected to Council President in 2008. In addition to his role as Council President, Mr. Ansinn is actively engaged in the community and is also Past President of the Bucks County Free Library and currently sits
on the Bucks County Open Space Review Board.
Lou White, Vice President
Lou White was appointed in September 1998 to fill a vacancy on Borough Council, and then was elected to a full four year term in November 1999. Lou is Vice President of Borough Council and represents Ward 1. He is a 36 year resident of the borough, having moved here to start a career as teacher and administrator in the Central Bucks School District. Prior to retiring in 1993, he was principal at Holicong Middle School in Buckingham. He is now a part-time consultant to middle school staffs and administrators through the Lehigh University Middle Level Partnership.
Lou has been a long time member of the Borough Parks and Recreation Board and was previously a member of the board of the Central Bucks YMCA. He is currently chairman of the committee to build a teen center at the "Y", and also serves on the boards of A Woman's Place and the County Theater. Lou and his wife, Libby, have two grown sons, Eric and Doug.

David Laustsen
David Laustsen is a graduate of Northwestern University and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law. He is a former State Representative/Senator in South Dakota, where he served on the Local Government Study Commission. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Navigation Commission of the River Delaware. Formerly a consultant to the Pennsylvania Crime Commission, he served as president of the Investigative Roundtable on Organized Crime, a national law enforcement training conference for prosecutors, investigators and intelligence analysts.
David's law office is in Doylestown Borough. His practice concentrates on debtor/creditor matters.
David and Jean Laustsen have lived in the borough since 1987.

Dennis McCauley
In 2008 Dennis completed a 27-year career as a police officer in Abington, where he rose through the ranks to become a division commander. During his police service Dennis led drug enforcement, community policing and Internet Safety efforts and was responsible for managing the police department's substantial budget. Dennis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from LaSalle University and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Villanova University. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Delaware Valley College.
Dennis joined Council in January, 2010. He currently chairs the Public Safety Committee and serves on the Zoning and Planning Committee and the Personnel Committee. Dennis is a member of the County Theater and the Doylestown Historical Society. He lives on North Clinton Street with his wife Sheilagh and three children.

Elnora 'Noni' West
Noni (Elnora) West was raised in Doylestown attending both Lenape and Central Bucks High School (before East or South).
As a Marketing & Advertising Executive with major firms in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, she has over 30 years of experience in strategic planning and the practical application of technology for communications. Currently she is a Strategic Planner for the Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Noni was elected to Borough Council in November 2009. She chairs the Water Utility Committee and serves on the Finance and Environment & Recreation Committees.

Susan Madian
Susan Madian has a varied background including over 25 years of fiscal management, 15 years of which were in an architectural firm and her own construction management company. As Deputy Director of the Colorado State Housing Division, she oversaw the low-income housing and weatherization programs and developed the State Housing Plan. Currently she serves on the national board of two non-profits dedicated to ending the stigma of mental illness and providing information and support to children with mental illness and their families. Both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are in Social Work.
Susan was elected to Borough Council in November 2009. She chairs the Zoning and Planning Committee and serves on the Finance and Water Utility Committees.

Don Berk
Don Berk is a communications consultant with an outstanding track record coaching, writing, consulting, and implementing spoken, graphic, and multimedia communication strategies for world-class companies in information technology, pharmaceutical, health, consumer packaged goods, publishing, and other industries. He is often asked to speak on communications or to facilitate groups, bringing people together to work toward a common goal regardless of their individual agendas.
Don chairs the Energy and Environment Committee and serves on the Public Works and Water Utility Committees. He and his wife, Ava, a local attorney, his two daughters, Emily, a student at the University of Maryland, and Julia, a student at CB West, and their dog, Molly are thrilled to call Doylestown their home.
Don is a committed fund raiser for various causes, a ride leader with the Central Bucks Bicycle Club, and is active with the Bucks County Sierra Club. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and his M.A. in painting and video from New York University.

John Buckman
John Buckman is a 31-year Borough Resident. John is the chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee and serves on the Community and Governmental Affairs and Public Safety Committees of Borough Council. He is a small business owner who operates a local custom woodworking company. John is a US Army veteran and served for many years as a volunteer Fire Fighter for Midway Fire Company. Libby White, Mayor
Mayor White was born at Fort Riley, Kansas, during the Great Depression, and at the brink of World War II. In 1940 the family moved east and she spent many of her childhood years in Aberdeen, Maryland. After high school she attended West Chester University. She majored in music and graduated with a B.S. in Music Education in 1953. She then taught elementary school vocal music in Havre de Grace, Maryland, for five years.
At West Chester, Libby met her husband, Lou. They were married in 1962, and in 1964 moved to Doylestown. Libby was a stay-at-home mom for sons Eric and Douglas, while Lou taught in the Central Bucks School District. In 1976 Libby returned to school and earned an M.Ed. in Counseling at Lehigh University. She was a school counselor at Franconia Elementary School from 1979 to 1985. She then devoted time to her family and was active in civic and women’s groups, including the American Association of University Women and the League of Women Voters. She became involved in local politics in 2000, and helped form the Doylestown Democrats. Meanwhile, in 1999 husband Lou was elected to Borough Council, where he currently serves as Vice-President.
Libby was elected mayor of Doylestown in 2005. Since that time she initiated Doylestown Clean and Green, a volunteer group that carries out monthly clean-ups of the downtown sidewalks, and the Commission for All Ages, with the mission to increase connections between residents of all ages in the borough. Mayor White’s official duties include civilian oversight of the Police Department, attendance at Borough Council meetings, where she may vote in case of a tie, and performing civil wedding ceremonies. She participates in the borough Public Safety Committee and the Energy and Environment Committee, and attends meetings of the Regional Senior Task Force, the Doylestown Revitalization Board, and the Bucks County Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency.
