NEWS > SNOW UPDATE
Thank you for your unprecedented cooperation in respecting snow emergency routes, removing your vehicles from the streets, and limiting your travel. We are currently enjoying a brief respite before snow begins to fall again. This is allowing our crews to address side streets, apply more of our plentiful supply of salt, and widen primary streets before round two begins in earnest. We ask for your continued patience in refraining from all but emergency travel, respecting snow emergency routes, and keeping your vehicles off the streets. If you are currently parked on the street, we ask that you consider moving your vehicles while it is still possible for us to plow the snow left behind. Be aware that we are continuing to enforce the snow emergency routes and other no parking zones and will continue to do so into tomorrow.
Although streets are accessible to appropriate vehicles at this time, travel is still treacherous. Venture out only in an emergency and exercise extreme caution.
Our crews will be fully prepared when round two of the snowfall commences later today. Provided the storm end as predicted, we will commence snow hauling operations on East Court Street (Main to Broad) and State Street (Clinton to Broad) tomorrow (Friday) morning at 7am, and hope to complete these operations by 3pm. Parking will be restored as it is possible as these operations progress.
