Snow Blower Attachment – Self Contained

Purchase Description

The Borough of Doylestown is seeking sealed bids for a new backhoe-mountable self-contained snow blower attachment. The self-powered snow blower attachment must be capable of being mounted on the front loader arms of a 2014 Case Super 580 Backhoe via a disconnect system (backhoe not included this bid request). The requested specifications are as follows:


Capacity:                                 Up to 1000 tons/hour minimum average

Chute Discharge Height:         8 ft. minimum

Unit Width:                              8 ft. maximum

Unit Weight:                            5000 lbs (wet) maximum

Engine:                                    Turbo-Diesel, 100 H.P. minimum

Controls:                                  Wireless w/ Joystick

Mounting:                                Adapter to attach to Case Super 580 front loader arms

Condition:                                New with less than 5 hours operational time


Bid Proposal Deadline

All bid proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the words “Snowblower Bid,” no later than 9:00am Monday, October 19th, 2015, to the Borough of Doylestown Department of Public Works, 57 W. Court Street, Doylestown, PA

18901. Bids will be publically opened thereafter.



Bids should include all freight and delivery costs, initial fills of oils and fluids, a full tank of fuel, and a minimum of two hours of on-site setup and operation instructions. The successful bidder will be awarded the purchase Fall of 2015 with delivery to occur no later than January 5th, 2016.                                                                                                                                                   All purchases will be initiated via government purchase order and invoice payment will be made upon satisfactory receipt of equipment.
