The Annual Doylestown Arts Festival , Bucks County Classic Bike Race, and Thompson Organization Criterium of Doylestown Bike Race will be held this weekend on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14. Often described as “Bucks County’s Biggest Weekend” these events will result in road closures and detours in Doylestown Borough.
On Saturday, between 7am and 7pm, the Arts Festival will result in the following road closures:
- Main Street between Oakland Avenue and Court Street
- State Street between Pine Street and Clinton Street
- Hamilton Street, between State Street and West Oakland Avenue
- West Oakland Avenue between Main and Clinton Streets
There will be little to no access to all vehicles on these streets during this time. Local detours will be in effect. A festival map can be found here.
Also from 6am to 10:45am Saturday, Doylestown Borough will be the starting point for the Thompson Organization’s “Bucks County Classic,” an international professional cycling race between Doylestown and New Hope. The race will start at Main and Court streets before heading for six circuitous laps through Carversville and finishing in New Hope. The race will commence at 10:45am and the riders will exit the Borough via East Court, East, and North Streets before heading to the Carversville area and eventually the finish in New Hope Borough. Although this event requires no additional road closures, there may be some brief traffic delays on E Court, East and North Streets as the cyclists exit the Borough.
