Acme Market in the Doylestown Shopping Center is proposing to add a 30 seat cafe restaurant to their store that serves beer and to offer beer for take-out purchase. To do this they need to get a liquor licence. To accomplish this, they are proposing to transfer into the Borough a liquor licence currently owned by the now closed Buffalo Grill in Buckingham.
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board regulations require Borough Council approval of any transfer of a liquor license into the Borough and that a Special Meeting and Public Hearing, open to the public be held to consider any such application. This Meeting/Hearing is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for interested Doylestown Borough residents to comment upon and/or make recommendations with respect to the application. Council must approve the request unless it finds that it will adversely affect the welfare of the Borough or its residents.
The Special Meeting and Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday,June 25 at 7 pm at Borough Hall. The official notice is below.
