Bucks County Library Center
A tall gabled spine organizes this library designed by the award winning architectural firm of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. Natural light fills the expansive reading rooms and library service areas, and at night the continuous clerestory and glazed ends of the spine glow in the landscape. The library's design has received awards from the American Library Association, and the Bucks County and Philadelphia Associations of Architecture.
Constructed in 1988, the library is the hub of the 18 Bucks County Library network, and houses the largest collection of printed materials in any single county public library. Patrons have access to a full range of services including children and adult programs, book discussions, author series, interlibrary loans, the Homebound program, which delivers books to patrons who are unable to get to the library, and use of the Mitchner and the Pearl S. Buck Conference Rooms.
